OUR HISTORY

_
McChord Air Museum Foundation
HERITAGE is our Cornerstone

The McChord Air Museum Foundation, founded in 1982, is a non-profit organization incorporated in the State of Washington by a group of Private Citizens.

Air Force Regulations provide limited support to the Museum. The site, utilities, and basic maintenance are furnished by McChord Air Force Base; the major share of museum development, including aircraft recovery and  building construction must be bore by the Foundation.

Hence the purpose of the McChord Air Museum Foundation is to raise funds and administer the growth and operation of the McChord Air Museum as a service to the Air Force and the American  people.
