MARCH 2006 - Members of the 62d Maintenance Squadron removed the Voodoo from its landing gear stands using aircraft airbags to lift the VooDoo, and gently set the aircraft on the ground. A week later the sight of the CF-101 "stopped traffic" as she was towed down the streets of McChord and placed in front of the Museums restoration Hangar awaiting the completion of the F-102A Delta Dagger, scheduled for late April early May.

For pictures of the VooDoo during its restoration please check for updates on the on the Painting Project Photo Page.

December 2005  - Museum members are gathering information for the painting of the Museum's CF-101 Voodoo. Among the schemes under consideration is the current CAF gray, a aluminum finish and even (and less likely) the 409th Fighter Squadrons "Hawk One" paint scheme. The Voodoo is to be taken off display, and moved to the Museums restoration hangar after the completion of the F-102A Delta Dagger.

F-15A EAGLE

December 2005A proposal for the repainting of F-15 -048 is being prepared by Museum staff which was last painted in 1992 during the aircraft's active service with the MA ANG. After 10 years in the Washington climate the paint of -048 is showing signs of wear. When the Mach 2 fighter is eventually painted it will be will wear the "Ghost Gray" color scheme worn by F-15's in the late 70's and 80's replacing the "Mod Eagle" scheme currently worn by -048, and don't fear - the "Starburst" will be back ! Research on the correct sizing, and placement of the 318th "Starburst" and Eagle head markings are underway. (Former 318th members with information on squadron markings - please contact the Museum at the address below)
