RADOME 

This metal radome (nose) was fabricated for NASA to install on their F-106B (pictured below) to evaluate the effect of lightning strikes on in the early 80’s. At the end of testing the original fiberglass radome once installed on the Museum’s F-106 was later installed onto the NASA F-106B. Restoration crews received a fiberglass radome from  QF-106A 57-2459 in 1997.
